AFTERCARE
How you care for your tattoo in the next few weeks will determine how beautifully it heals. Please follow these guidelines carefully.

Second Skin (Protective Film)
Keep the protective film on for 2–3 days. It is waterproof, so normal showering is fine. Avoid exercise for at least 3–5 days, as sweating can loosen the adhesive and irritate healing skin.
If the film starts peeling significantly or fills with fluid, remove it gently in the shower.

Cleaning
Remove the film under warm running water.
Wash gently with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel or paper towel, never rub.
Let the skin breathe for a few minutes before applying cream.

Moisturising
Apply a very thin layer of cocoa butter or Bepanthen 2–3 times daily for 2–3 weeks.
The skin must be able to breathe, too much product can delay healing.

What to Avoid
For the first few weeks avoid:
• Direct sun exposure
• Swimming (pools, sea, lakes)
• Saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs
• Long baths or soaking
• Tight clothing rubbing the area
• Picking or scratching

Avoid exercise for at least 5 days; friction, stretching and sweat can disturb healing and affect detail.
Light peeling and mild itching are normal.
